Experience 2001-Present Redlands Auto Center Redlands, CA. ControllerManaged all finance and accounting activities. Originally had 13 people in accounting office. Combined jobs and cross-trained to reduce to a more efficient cost effective staff. We were up to 60 Million dollars in sales per year at one point.* Worked hands on with business office staff, including payables, receivables, payroll, contracts, etc. Worked every desk in the business office. * Worked with insurance broker to get best pricing on health, liability and workers compensation premiums.* Worked direct with Fisher & Phillips labor attorney in handling all employment claims.* Prepared monthly financial statements and submitted to factories.* Prepared quarterly sales tax and payroll tax returns.
1998-2001 AutoNation Cerritos, CA.Senior Business Manager* Oversaw accounting office operations for four Auto Nation dealerships in the Southern California district: Don-A-Vee Jeep Placentia, Don-A-Vee Jeep, Bellflower, Ontario Dodge, and Buena Park Nissan. Responsible for setting up combined payroll for several dealerships when they converted to an outside payroll source. Oversaw preparation of end of month combined financial statements for all dealerships.
